An escape room is an activity where a small group of 2 to 12 players is locked up in a room. The room has a certain theme, a backstory and a bucnh of clues and puzzles. Participants must work closely together to find hidden clues and solve the puzzles in order to escape the room. What's more - the group only has 60 minutes and they fly by very quickly!

This is only a game and so we will of course open up for you and let you out. Before we do so though, your gamemaster will walk you through those puzzles you had left and help you solve them.

Yes - escape rooms are an indoor activity. We're located at Borgartún 6 in Reykjavik and the weather is always nice and warm here.

We have 7 room in total.

We can therefore accommodate anywhere from just 2 players up to 50 players at once.

A great fit for families, friends and coworkers.

Kids from 10 years and up can play alone and often they do even better than adults. Younger participants must be accompanied by at least one adult.

You can expect the visit to last 90 minutes all in all. 15 minutes before and after the game is a good benchmark. The game itself takes 60 minutes.

Yes - definitely. Escape rooms is an amazing option for bringing coworkers closer. 2-12 players are locked in a room. Inside the room there is a certain theme, a backstory and a bunch of puzzles, riddles and clues. In order to figure out how to escape the room all puzzles must be solved. The group has to work closely together in order to escape. The challenges are quite difficult and only about 35-45% of those who try manage to escape within 60 minutes and it is therefore essential that the group work well together and keep organized. Reykjavik Escape opened it's doors in January of 2015 and has since then accommodated a great number of organizations and companies. We have 7 rooms and can acommodate up to 50 people at a time. Við erum opin þriðjudag til laugardags alla daga ársins… nánast. Þriðjudaga til föstudaga opnum við klukkan 14 og síðasti leikur er svo að byrja klukkan 20 um kvöld. Laugardaga opnum við fyrr, eða klukkan 12 á hádegi. Leikirnir byrja sem sagt kl. 14-16-18 og 20 þriðjudaga – föstudaga og kl. 12-14-16-18 og 20 laugardaga.

No - this is not a physical activity at all. You can show up wearing anything you'd like.

This is where we can't help you. You must try one of our games in order to get the thrill and excitement of being locked up. We would be ruining your fun if we were to tell you too much. However a gamemaster serves each room. If players are stuck they can always ask for help - and most do.
